Green Care Food Pantry serves Green County along with TEFAP
The Green Cares Food Pantry provides a vital service to the low income people of Green County and is an important partner in the TEFAP network working to eliminate hunger in their local community.They serve about 125 households per month, nearly double the number of households served when the pantry first opened.
They have a cadre of about 25 volunteers per month and have reached out to the community for donations, which are obtained through a wide variety of sources, including several generous area grocery stores.

Services, which is developing the addition, is piloting a program to
provide skills training and on-the-job experience for at risk youths.
Called Fresh Start, the program employs people between 16 and 24, most
of whom need a high school diploma.
